When I was just 2 years into Toastmasters, I remember a new member of our club nervously approaching me. He wanted me to mentor his speech but there was one major issue. He could not string five words together to make a complete English sentence. This was the cause of his low confidence and was impeding the overall quality of his speech.
With a few more years in Toastmasters and seeing a lot more of such members, it became clear to me that speakers who mastered English, consequently, had more confidence.
It seems like Better English means Better Speeches. Better speeches means Better Club Quality.
Launching The 'Think and Speak English' Workshop!
This weekly workshop aims to empower all of those individuals who would like to take steps to master the English Language. This is a free workshop open to all members of District 121 – Toastmasters International that wish to learn/relearn the English language. Because Toastmasters is one such platform that is open to everyone – especially those who cannot speak fluent English.
