CGD Initiative – Club Incubation

(A brainchild of Past International Director, Gauri Seshadri, DTM, and Interntional Director Pawas Chandra, DTM)

The Club Incubation Program is undertaken by experienced Toastmasters to help clubs under the yellow and green categories in the image below to improve their membership, act as advisors to the club leadership team for a specific period of time and improve overall meeting experience of the club members. 

Program Regulations

  • A club must nominate itself for the Club Incubation Program. Appointments of Club Incubation Program volunteers will be made by the Office of the Club Growth Director, in consultation with the Chair and Co-Chair of L.E.A.P 1.0. The volunteers, further consult the respective Division Director and Area Director to seek guidance and support to implement the formulated action plan.
  • A club must have 13 members or more to qualify under the Club Incubation Program – “Yellow” or “Green” categories.
  • Up to two Club Incubation Program volunteers may be appointed to a club.
  • The appointment lasts till April 30, 2024.
  • Club Incubation Program volunteers must submit an Action Plan to the Division Director, with a copy to the Club Growth Director, on or before December 31, 2023.
  • The volunteer acts as an advisor to the club leadership team to support the club in enhancing meeting quality, overall meeting experience, member satisfaction, members’ education goals, mentoring, etc.
  • The volunteers should have attended atleast six continuous meetings of the club during the period of appointment.
  • The volunteers will submit monthly reports on their work, as part of the program, to the respective Division Director, with a copy to the Club Growth Director.
  • The appointment will be complete as the club achieves Distinguished status or higher, in the current program year.

Program Structure

  • The structure of the program is a five-month structured module that helps rebuild your club.
  • A module is developed by the program volunteers in consultation with the respective Division Director and the Office of the Club Growth Director based on their analysis after a club visit.
  • Monthly report is submitted by the volunteer to the respective Division Director and the Office of the Club Growth Director.

Program Recognition

  • Each Club Incubation Program volunteer, upon successful completion, is recognised as a Club Incubation Champion. Clubs under this program that shall become Distinguished or above, with at least one DCP point from membership addition, shall be awarded the ‘Avengers Citation’. Click Here to know more.
