CGD Initiative – Club Adoption Program

(Previously known as Buddy Club Program)

Does your club fall under the “yellow” category?  

Do you, as a club officer, often wonder how successful clubs are able to support their members? 

If your answer is “yes”, the club adoption program is just for your club! Learn the secret directly from such successful clubs.

Program regulations

  • A club must nominate itself for the Club Adoption program. Click here to nominate your club under the Club Adoption program. Confirmation will be made by the respective Division Director, in consultation with the Office of the Club Growth Director.

  • Eligibility criteria for clubs to consider Club Adoption program:

    • A club must have 13-19 members – “Yellow” category. 

    • Clubs must not have an active appointment of a Club Coach or a New Club Mentor. 

  • Eligibility criteria for clubs to adopt another club:

    • Clubs must have achieved Distinguished status or higher in the 2022-2023 program year.

    • Clubs can adopt a maximum of two other clubs. No Division / Area restrictions apply for the first club. Second club may preferably be from a different area.

  • The Club Adoption lasts through the program year till June 30, 2024. The club that is adopting an another club acts as an advisor to the club leadership team to support the club in enhancing meeting quality, overall meeting experience, member satisfaction, members’ education goals, mentoring, etc. In the process, the club adopting the weak club helps the weak club achieve Distinguished status or higher.

 

Program recognition

  • Each club that adopts another club through the Club Adoption program will be recognised with the “Golden Duo” award upon fulfilment of the criteria. Click here to know more.
