Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:

Currently serving as a Lead Consultant at Infosys, I bring over 17 years of extensive experience in the IT industry. Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with banking and telecom clients across the globe gaining valuable global exposure. As a seasoned leader, I have successfully led and managed multiple teams, driving excellence and innovation. Leveraging this wealth of leadership and mentoring experience, I am now making a meaningful impact in my current role as an Area Director, fostering growth and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

What experience do you have in strategic planning?

With a proven track record in strategic planning and execution, I have played a pivotal role in implementing pricing and billing software solutions for major banking and telecom clients. From handling request-for-proposals to leading pre-sales engagements, I have navigated every stage—conducting impactful demo meetings, driving cost negotiations, defining critical milestones, and ensuring seamless project execution. My commitment to excellence has not only secured client satisfaction but also transformed them into long-term partners, earning me multiple global recognitions and awards.

What experience do you have in the area of finance?

I have been deeply involved in pricing and billing products & solutions for top-tier banks and telecom giants, playing a key role in shaping strategic deals. From delivering high-impact pre-sales presentations to leading cost negotiations, I have successfully driven value-driven solutions for global clients.

What experience do you have in developing procedures?

As part of Infosys’ CSR initiatives, I have led the branding and communication track, streamlining collaboration among stakeholders within the CSR group, including initiative owners, volunteers, and auxiliary role holders. To enhance efficiency, I designed a seamless workflow that bridges the gap between internal teams and external partners—spanning social media, finance, and large-scale corporate CSR coordinators ensuring smooth execution of impactful initiatives.

What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?

At work, I have mastered the art of delegation, believing that true leadership lies in trust, collaboration, and empowerment rather than micromanagement. Team spirit and synergy have the power to turn the impossible into reality. Even the most challenging clients can be managed with consistency in the quality of deliverables, reinforcing credibility and long-term partnerships.

Why do you want to serve as a District leader?

Serving as an Area Director has been a transformative journey, allowing me to explore and refine my leadership and interpersonal skills. Every challenge presented an opportunity to strategize, innovate, and drive meaningful growth for my clubs. I had the privilege of spearheading major initiatives at the area level, such as debate contests and cross-division linkers’ meets for struggling online clubs.

At the division level, I contributed to flagship programs like COTP and the Learning Lounge at Division G, fostering skill development and engagement across Toastmasters.

Stepping into the role of Division Director will enable me to elevate these initiatives further, amplifying their impact across a wider Toastmasters community. Through collaboration and innovation, I aspire to create a lasting influence, empowering even more members to achieve their goals and thrive as leaders.

In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?

Let me quote the District Mission: “We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence.”For me, expanding Toastmasters’ footprint within the community is a priority. As an Area Director, I actively explored opportunities to introduce Toastmasters to new spaces, engaging with medical colleges, professional institutions, and corporate organizations to discuss potential demo meetings. Through these conversations, I realized that our division holds immense potential for growth, with numerous untapped arenas where Toastmasters can make a lasting impact. However, while expansion is vital, sustainability and excellence within existing clubs demand equal—if not greater—attention. I firmly believe that if a club can be saved from fading away, every effort invested is worth it. No club should be left behind. A deep, thorough analysis of each club’s unique challenges is crucial in identifying tailored solutions. There is no one-size-fits-all approach; what works for one may not work for another. Understanding the specific needs of each club and rolling out customized strategies is key to ensuring their long-term success.
