Relevance: was able to inspire & align club leaders towards a shared vision. As mentor worked one on one with members to achieve distinguished status for a new club. Helped them develop new skills.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
I had strategic plans to achieve distinguished club program goals & membership growth of the clubs.
Encouraged members to take up roles at clubs other than their home clubs. Take active part in contests, club & division events.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
At present I am the treasurer of Agnesian TMC. I have experience in maintaining club budget and transfer & remittance of membership dues to TMI.
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
As president & Area Director helped improve quality of meetings at the club. Provided scripts and templates for role takers. Encouraged members to take up roles in club meetings, contests and division events. Conducted orientation Program on pathways for new members. As a leader tracked progress on membership growth & education achievement
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
As a leader i learnt the art of communication, leadership as service, team work, clear vision and valued feedback. Leadership is a service & a continuous journey where i had opportunity to grow as a leader and learn like a pupil. Get accustomed to new ideas and criticism. Learnt team building, interpersonal skills, wide networking & stronger relationships. Noted progress in me yet to be perfect
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
Serving as a district leader offers a unique rewarding experience that is beyond our personal growth.
It helps managing teams, set goals, create action plan, delegation, conflict resolution & decision making. Helps broader networking, personal & professional growth. Pushes me out of comfort zone thus encouraging me to face obstacles ,adapt to new changes & grow confidentially as a leader.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
Major objectives is to achieve communication, leadership skills. Encourage members to come out of their comfort zone & take up speaking & leadership roles. Help club members, club officers to take up district leadership roles and help them grow. Empowerment comes from working together to bring out the best.
Additional information about yourself:
As president of 3 clubs in the past achieved Hall of fame award silver for 2 clubs & Hall of Fame Bronze for 1 club. As Area Director all clubs under me achieved distinguished status.
Received Outstanding Member of Division L award in 2022 -2023.
