Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:

Ideated and curated the India’s largest eloquotion contest (Speak for Kalam) with The Hindu
Group. Area Director – July 2022 to June 2023 – Membership growth percent went up from 70% to
116%. Conducted Bangalore’s largest youth festival (Samyoga) – 2018
Senior Lead Consultant – Hyper Automation Platform at Unilever.

What experience do you have in strategic planning?

Conducted Bangalore’s largest youth festival (Samyoga) – 2018 Helped Aurigo India Toastmasters achieve 4 awards in the year of their incubation as a club mentor. Started the first club in Jain University which when on to becoming distinguished under my Guidance.

What experience do you have in the area of finance?

Managing finances for workshops at More Than Textbook – Collection and allocation of finances in the company. Sponsorship at college – Managed to get sponsors for the cultural events and was head of finances to be allocating and maintaining the according to the resources required for various teams.

What experience do you have in developing procedures?

Used the best of the existing resources like excel to track the progress of the clubs under my Area. A performence tracker was given for them and each club had to fill in the required criterias for me to address things that are good and things they needed help with. This just got all the clubs under my area to be at least distinguished.

What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?

Strategic planning, decsion making in timely order, influencing others to reach the set goals,

Why do you want to serve as a District leader?

My learning from TI has been vast and I want to give back while acquire more of the learnings. This experience has truly enhanced my skills to become a better a leader. Therefore, I feel I want to challenge myself by nominating for the Division Director as I can see myself contribute much more to Toastmasters. And this helps me reach as many people as possible. More the merrier.

In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?

Major Objective – Membership growth and retention, New Club Addition. By adding maximum members into existing clubs & by atleast starting/adding 5 new clubs to the district.
